How To Play Big Even When Your Feeling Small

Free Happy Woman Enjoying Nature. Beauty Girl Outdoor. Freedom cWe’ve all tried to play big… then the jitters hit. Right at the moment when you need to go ALL IN…you freeze. Whether it’s overwhelm, fear of failure, the need for perfection or simply being stuck on what to do next, it always seems that right when we need to step up and get it done, something inside us prevents us from moving forward.

It is at these critical junctures that some Entrepreneurs springboard a multi-six or seven figure business and others tread water for what seems like an eternity before going under. You have the decision: play BIG, or retreat.

More than 80% of businesses fail. This happens for a variety of different reasons. But the most common struggle I see as a Business Coach and Entrepreneur Mentor is the mastery of the mental game.

Growing a profitable business is more about having the discipline to fight through the mental blocks to do what is necessary than about money, resources, talent or the product or service you’re selling.

So Here Are A Few of My Top Tips for Playing Big Even When You Are Feeling Small:

1. Realize that selling is serving and if you pre-judge the person or situation you are preventing them from experiencing the result or solution you offer.

2. Your story, your battle wounds and struggles are what make you special. Share who you are, how you got to where you are today and be a real person. People want to buy from someone they trust and can build a working relationship with, which means that being imperfect is an asset in your business. No one wants to do business with a machine.

3. Quantify the result you deliver vs. price you are charging! WOW! You should be fully confident charging what you are worth because you know that you are not asking your customer to pay anything near what the true value is for the result they are receiving. For example, as a Business Coach my clients may pay me $350-$1,500 a month to work with me but many of them make many times that in additional profit because of the work we do together.

4. Write down all of your accomplishments, the hurdles you have overcome and the results you have gotten for others leading up to today. Once you see in black and white all that you have done and how much you can help people playing small is off the table because you have a gift to share and you have the experience and results to back you up along the way.

Finally, remember, it’s not about you.

It’s about the people you are here to serve and the difference you can make by being the best you can possibly be!
