Today I had the opportunity to talk to Michael Carbone, an online entrepreneur and podcaster who created the program “Online Course In a Weekend.” Today we will be walking you through how to get started in creating small business training courses.
Takeaway #1: Mindset is at the source of all success
Do not allow fear to hold you back, it’s all about your mindset. You must allow yourself to get unstuck and step up and do what you are passionate about.
Takeaway #2: Do what you love
At the end of the day, you don’t want to feel unfulfilled. Do what you feel passionate about and your work will reflect that. You should never feel severe anxiety about your job… do what makes you happy!
Takeaway #3: The only thing that is stopping you is action
You have to take action! Look at yourself and look at your strengths. Figure out what makes you unique, what you are passionate about. Create an online course based on what you are good at and what you think will make you money. Do something that will get you moving forward and slowly building.

Just like Michael talks about in his series “Online Course In a Weekend,” try and get something published in the course of a weekend. Create a time constraint for yourself. Without time constraints, we don’t feel pressure to get things done. Time pressure will help you.

You just have to get something out there! Go back and tweak it later, you need to just get started and get the ball rolling. Get started now and take the consistent imperfect action. Think small: it doesn’t have to be life changing.
